This music service also offers a Premium-level which costs USD 9.99. Premium level enables ad-free music, audio-only background playback, downloading songs for offline playback, and richer audio quality. Which is also similar to the previous premium service, Google Play Music. This service also replaces Google Play Music. YouTube Music is Google's main brand for music streaming on December 1, 2020.

YouTube Music is similar to other music streaming apps such as Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, Tidal, Pandora, and Joox. YouTube music is available on the web, Android, iOS, Mac, smart displays (Google nest hub, Lenovo smart clock), Google Nest speakers, and smartwatches such as Apple watch and WearOS by Google smartwatch.
You can also transfer your music files from Google Play Music to YouTube Music in one tap, your music will be saved in the playlist section in YouTube Music.
